Wait — What Is Moissanite? Moissanite is not a diamond — and we won't pretend otherwise. We are, first and foremost, a diamond brand. But moissanite is a genuinely beautiful gemstone in its own right, and the resemblance to our Heart Diamond Cord Bracelet is striking. Most people cannot tell the difference with the naked eye. Even jewellers need specialist equipment to distinguish the two. What makes moissanite unique is its exceptionally high refractive index — slightly higher than diamond — which gives it brilliant sparkle with a touch more colourful fire. It is also one of the hardest gemstones in the world, scoring 9.25 on the Mohs scale, making it perfectly suitable for everyday wear. And it is nothing like cubic zirconia — moissanite is far harder, more durable, and retains its brilliance for life. In the Netherlands it remains relatively unknown, which is part of why we wanted to explore it.

The Cord Exchange Programme This bracelet grows with you. As a Vedder Diamonds client, you're welcome to visit our Amsterdam showroom once per quarter to exchange your cord for any other colour — completely free of charge. Same stone, new energy.
